Q2 2019 RunSignup Results

Our quarterly report for Q2 of 2019 was great, with RunSignup technology used by over 10,000 races in a single quarter for the first time. We also saw an 18% growth in races and 25% growth in total transaction dollars as compared to this quarter in 2018. On the technology side, Q2 brought major releases for nonprofits and free race websites with point and click cover pages and custom domains.

RunSignup Symposium: Education for the Industry

2019 Summer Symposium Wrap-Up

The 2019 RunSignup Summer Symposium brought together 293 race directors, timers, and industry professionals in Philadelphia for education and networking opportunities. Education highlights included 18 general sessions, 32 small group workshops, RaceDay Certification, advanced sessions for certified timers, a hands-on RaceDay Demo room, and expert panels on fundraising, marketing, and business practices. Announcing the Inaugural Winter Symposium

With demand for the Summer Symposium consistently exceeding capacity, RunSignup is introducing a Winter Symposium in 2020, to be held in Orlando, FL on January 13th and 14th. The Winter Symposium offers race directors, timers, and nonprofits an additional opportunity to invest in their education and connect with their peers. 2019 Community Grant Award

The RunSignup Community Grant program is a giving program that began in 2016 to provide a financial contribution to endurance-related nonprofit organizations. The 2019 winners were selected by the RunSignup Customer Advisory Board, and announced at the Summer Symposium. Information for 2020 applicants will be available in April.

Marc Roy, with Sportstats in Ottawa, Canada, was awarded the inaugural Alan Jones Timer of the Year Award. The award, named in honor of industry innovator Alan Jones, recognizes timers who have impacted the industry. Marc Roy was selected due to his leadership in growing what is now one of the largest timing organizations in the world.

RaceDay Scoring Update

With 303 RaceDay Certified timers, significant investments were made to RaceDay Scoring in July. Highlights include initial support for printing directly to a printer, added support for custom top finishers, a reorganized and more comprehensive dashboard, the ability to clear and recalculate all reads from the dashboard, and an updated quick link from the Scored Reads list to Raw Reads at a Location.

Our new Timer Search Page to help race directors find a timer is now searchable by state – you can add up to five that you serve. Make it more likely that they’ll find you by ensuring that your profile is update, accurate, and professional (add your logo!). We have a how-to for updating your profile here.
