2021 Timer Survey Now Open

The annual Timer Market Survey for the endurance industry is now open! This survey is designed to provide insights into the timer industry and focuses on understanding timers’ business practices, current challenges, technology used, and obtaining input on products and services needed. It is an opportunity for timers to help their peers and the industry respond to market changes and drive innovation. GiveSignup | RunSignup has a dedicated business division, RaceDay, that is exclusively focused on the timer segment and develops a comprehensive suite of essential timer software products.

“Timers are the backbone to the endurance industry. Since they are spread out throughout the country with varying needs and situations, this is an opportunity for their voices to be heard and to help companies like us understand ways in which we can better support them. This is our third year gathering timer intelligence and we’ve been pleasantly surprised by the openness and willingness of timers to participate in the survey. We know how busy a timer’s life is and we appreciate their sharing insights to help guide our 2022 product roadmaps and supportive training programs,” said Bob Bickel, CEO and Founder of  GiveSignup | RunSignup.

The Timer Market Survey includes standard questions used each year along with questions that are relevant to situations unique to 2021. Some areas this year’s survey explores are staffing, remote timing, gender categories, and effects of Covid-19. The majority of the survey is generic in nature and findings can help other timers and businesses in the industry. The survey also includes a section on RunSignup’s RaceDay technology suite to obtain feedback and ideas for product advancements.

The Timer Market Survey is currently open for timers to complete by Friday, November 12, 2021. The time to complete the survey is approximately five to ten minutes, and the duration will depend on the depth of the answers provided by each timer. Aggregate findings will be published to the public. Timers can choose to remain anonymous and individual responses are confidential.
