RunSignUp Infrastructure for Murfreesboro Race Opening

Here is a video that show what happens when a race opens and a lot of people are waiting to register quickly.  The Murfreesboro Half Marathon has a cap of only 3,250 people on their beautiful course in Tennessee, so they always sell out quickly and people want to make sure they get a spot. They opened this year on Monday, June 1 at Noon Central Time.

The video shows what the runners are seeing as well as the back end infrastructure and how it responds to the load and how we monitor the performance. We had a peak of about 4,000 page loads per minute and about 200 registrations per minute on opening.
