Welcome, Amanda, Chris, & Jake!

We are excited to welcome Amanda, Chris, and Jake to the GiveSignup | RunSignup team! They are joining us as GiveSignup’s sales team, and will help existing and new nonprofit customers use GiveSignup | RunSignup’s technology to raise money, save money, and engage supporters.

Amanda Sweet

Amanda graduated from Shippensburg University with a Marketing degree and has lived in Philadelphia ever since. After working in financial services for five years, Amanda began her career in nonprofits as the Event Logistics Manager & Community Health Coordinator for Susan G. Komen Philadephia. While at Komen, Amanda was responsible for the Philadelphia Race for the Cure (which she moved over to RunSignup’s all-in-one platform!), as well as an annual gala, and other peer to peer fundraising initiatives. She then became an Executive Director of the Muscular Dystrophy Association in April 2017. While at MDA, Amanda was responsible for leading a team tasked with raising $3.3 million dollars annually through various walks, an endurance program, galas, retail pin up programs, securing corporate sponsorships, golf outings, and more.

Amanda loves to run despite coming in dead last at her high school district cross country meet, as well as hiking, traveling, reading, and spending time with friends, family, and her beloved puppy Levi. Spending the last 5 years working for nonprofits has given Amanda a “we don’t have to, we get to” mentality, and she’s excited to share her passion for fundraising. Amanda’s favorite thing to do is meet new people, so she’s excited to get to know GiveSignup | RunSignup’s nonprofit customers (and find new ones!)

Chris Newcomer

Chris Newcomer joined GiveSignup’s Moorestown office as an Overlay Sales Representative in March. Chris brings with him experience working at nonprofits in Philadelphia and NYC.

Chris studied as an opera singer and spent the better part of the last decade performing on Broadway and touring the world in shows like CHICAGO the Musical and The Visit.  He moved to Philadelphia in 2017 and is happy to be putting down roots near where he grew up.

Chris has greatly enjoyed getting to know the GiveSignup | RunSignup customers over the past few months and looks forward to deepening those connections!

Jake Unger

Jake joins the GiveSignup | RunSignup team from Charleston, South Carolina. Most recently, Jake was an Account Executive at Blackbaud, working in the nonprofit vertical building relationships with nonprofit organizations in the Northeast. Prior to Blackbaud, Jake grew his sales career at Worldwide Express. He is excited to build on the sales skills he’s learned along the way while continuing his work in the nonprofit world with the chance to work with some great organizations with the GiveSignup | RunSignup team.

Jake is originally from Elizabethtown, PA, which is where he met his wife, Lauren.  This year they welcomed a baby boy, Callan, to their family, along with their 9 year old Bernese Mountain dog, Sophie.  Prior to moving to Charleston, Jake and his wife spent 5 years in Philadelphia, and Jake is excited to get back to his Philly roots with GiveSignup | RunSignUp. Outside of work Jake enjoys outdoor adventures, a round of golf, and never missing a Sixers game.  He also enjoys volunteering locally with the Charleston Miracle league, a nonprofit that provides great experiences for children and adults with special needs through baseball.
