We have had some customers ask why they can not reconcile inventory exactly. The total available is in sync, but the volumes are not. This is because we do the calculations a bit differently as explained below. RunSignup: We keep track of two numbers we’ll call them A and B, “A” the total amount ever […]
Shopify is now integrated with RunSignUp for races. This means races can sell items from their Shopify stores directly in their race registration path. The initial release automatically creates Add-Ons in RunSignUp based on items in your Shopify store. The store item name, description, image, variants and inventory are automatically imported. In a release coming […]
We have added an option at the bottom of the Add-On setup page to disable all Add-Ons. This is convenient when your race has several items for sale and you want to stop taking orders.
We have added the ability to download Add-On reports by purchase date in addition to registration date. This is useful for seeing new purchases made after registration.
We have given a more powerful editing capability to Add-Ons. We originally kept this as simple text, but had so many requests for fuller HTML capabilities we have added our usual editor found in many other places in the Race Director Dashboard.
We have added by event breakdown ability to our Add-On Reports. This is an option on the Add-On Report: This produces both downloadable report data, as well as visible reports like this:
We had previously put images as an Advanced Option. We have now moved that so it is with the main data, which allows race directors to more easily visualize their add-ons.
Not exactly the iPhone 7, but we have added a check to make sure your individual quantities do not exceed the total inventory available as shown in this screenshot:
The CSV Download for the specific Add-On orders has been improved. It includes custom field responses, giveaway, and event name now.
We added a new setting in the Bib Exchange settings under Participants>>Participant Management>>Bib Exchange. Under the gift transfer section, there is now the option for “When Transferring, transfer add-ons from previous registrant.” This option defaults to OFF. Please note- the add-ons only transfer over to the new registrant with GIFT transfers and they are automatically mapped […]
We have added a full list of the add-ons a participant has ordered in the Registration page – both for the Participant View as well as on the Race Dashboard. For example:
We have added a new report for Partners with Race Series that offer the same products across many races. It provides a consolidated view for all Add-On orders. This is a follow-on to our Store Reports, but designed especially for Add-Ons. The URun races series like BlackLight Run and Bubble Run is offering an option […]
We now give races a way to turn off the ability to order an Add-On if the Waiver is not signed. The example is when the Add-On allows a runner have the bib sent to them, but they have not signed the waiver. This makes sure that the participant signs the waiver during the Check-In […]
You can now turn off the ability for runners to be refunded on Add-Ons. This option is on the Refund Setup page:
We have added a couple of Partner level Reports to show store orders across all races. The first report shows a summary of totals. We do our best to match items in different races that are spelled the same way with the same options (so it would not match one race where you call is […]
We have updated the interface for store and add-on items to be much easier to use and nicer to look at! At the right is an example of what an item would look like on a phone. Below are some other examples. One recommendation is to put an image (or not) for each item so […]
You can now set prices for each of your add-on line items. This allows you to ask a single question and give participants to add any number of each item, and each item have different prices. This is easily configured in the Add-On Dashboard page.

We have a new video out that helps explain how runners can manage their Add-Ons. These are extra items that can be free or for pay and are selected by each registrant as part of registration. In contrast, Store items can be bought outside of registration and are not necessarily tied to each registrant. Feel free […]
We have added the ability to easily see your Add-On orders in summary form. This includes an “at a Glance” view of your remaining inventory and orders in graphical and chart form. Here is an example:
Does it make sense for your race to charge a smaller fee for the entry and then require the purchase of an Add-On? For example, you could have a race fee of $20 and then a T-Shirt fee of $15 and a Jacket Fee of $50 – with each registrant required to purchase either the […]
Add-Ons are treated as a separate type of item in RunSignUp Financial Reports. That is the $144 item on the right. Also, note that Add-Ons are non-refundable (unlike Store items). This is one of the attractive things about Add-Ons from a race director’s perspective. Race Directors can allow runners to modify their Add-Ons (set this […]
