1/8/2019 – ACTIVE Network and RunSignup are excited to announce our joint cooperation on a set of technology initiatives, which will make it easier for event organizers and timers that use both solutions to provide the best event experience possible.
The two organizations recognize the need to offer an open choice of systems for race directors and event timers. Creating simple integrations will enhance operational efficiencies while improving the athlete and competitor experience when searching for and managing results.
“We are happy to find a productive path forward that will assure an open technology interoperability foundation that customers will be able to rely on from both companies,” said Bob Bickel, Founder and CEO of RunSignup.
The two organizations are currently working to deliver the following set of integrations by the end of the first quarter of 2019:
- RunSignup participant data will sync with ACTIVE Timing and be publishable to RunSignup Results
- The Race Director, which already integrated with ACTIVEWorks Endurance, will now be able to directly publish results to ACTIVE Results
- Race Day Scoring will integrate directly with IPICO RFID hardware
- Race Day Scoring will soon be able to publish directly to ACTIVE Results
- For events using ACTIVEWorks registration, race result information from The Race Director and Race Day Scoring data will sync with the ACTIVEWorks CRM
“ACTIVE has been here for nearly 20 years, the event and endurance technology landscape has moved beyond registration and ACTIVE remains committed to delivering open systems that enable our event organizers to thrive, and we will be here for another 20 years. Timers and event organizers are under increasing pressure in a competitive climate and anything we can do to smooth the way, we hope will be received well, whatever your technology of choice” said Toby Green, VP Sports & Business Development at ACTIVE Network, a Global Payments Company.
ACTIVE Network and RunSignup will continue to collaborate to offer a more seamless experience when using ACTIVE and RunSignup products, and will work with RunningUSA to improve industry data reports and analytics, helping users effectively manage and grow their races.

My concern is what poor service and support which our event used to receive from Active. That was the # 1 reason we switched to RunSignUp. With RunSignUp we found the service levels and the product 100% better than with Active. I hope this partnership is a positive move.
Hey Brian! If you’re not using Active, the partnership won’t impact you at all. The integration will simply be an option to help race directors who
do choose to use Active. We like being open, and want to give access to our RaceDay tools to as many race directors and timers as want to use them, whatever their registration choice is (or, if they want to post results on Active).
thanks, great to hear
