We’re welcoming seven interns to our team this summer! Their employment dates vary depending on their school, but they’ll all be working to help customers either via building technology or supporting races and nonprofits.
Elisabeth is working out of the Moorestown, NJ office as a Marketing Product Intern focused on nonprofits and fundraising events using RunSignup. She is set to graduate from the University of Mary Washington in January 2019 with an English Major and a Minor in Business Administration.
Elisabeth grew up in South Jersey and has been a runner since middle school, participating in local 5Ks and the Pitman Four-Miler every year. As the Student Director at the Community Outreach and Resources office at her school, she helps coordinate volunteering and community engagement projects for students. In that role and through previous internships, she has worked with a number of local nonprofits and she is looking forward to combining her enthusiasm for nonprofit organizations with a love for writing, content creation, and marketing.
Hunter is joining as a Marketing Intern in Moorestown NJ, and will be involved in coordination for the RunSignup Symposium, customer communications, and content creation. He is a rising senior in Marketing at the Fox School of Business at Temple University. At Temple, he has been involved with the university’s chapter of the American Marketing Association, a professional organization that gives students marketing opportunities and insights through speaker sessions and in-house work. The chapter just won their first designation as International Chapter of the Year at the annual Intercollegiate Conference!
Hunter ran cross country throughout middle and high school, and continues to run in his free time. He recently completed his first 10-miler at the Broad Street Run, and is signup up for his first half marathon this fall. Outside of running, he enjoys baking and the whole office is hoping we’ll get to sample his cupcakes!
Jenna will be working in Richmond, VA as an Account Management Intern. She is a rising senior at James Madison University, where she is majoring in Integrated Science and Technology with a concentration in Information Knowledge Management, Production Systems, and Holistic Problem Solving. She has experience as the student manager at JMU’s Student Success Center on campus, supervising students, managing building operations, and setting up events occurring at the center.
Jenna completed her first half marathon in November in Richmond and is looking forward to many more. Besides running, she loves participating in teams sports (soccer, field hockey, and volleyball) and on most weekends she heads outside for a hike or to the beach, lake, or river.
Allison is joining the Richmond, VA team as an Account Management Intern. She is graduating from the University of Virginia May of 2020 with a major in psychology and a minor in health and well-being.
Allison has experience planning special events for nonprofits, and has seen endurance events up close as a participant at the Monument Avenue 10K and color runs. In her free time, she enjoys ice skating, traveling, working with animals, and attending music festivals. If you’re in the Richmond area, ask her about the neighborhood Mexican restaurant she’s addicted to!
Brendon began working as a Software Development Intern with the RaceDay team in Florida in April. He is working to earn a bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida in December 2019.
Brendon’s interest in coding goes beyond the classroom, as he enjoys going to hackathons to improve his coding skills and come up with cool ideas for personal projects. He also has an athletic side, and loves to play soccer and run in his free time.
Philip is coming on board as a Software Development intern in the Moorestown, NJ office. He’s a student and an RA at Rowan University where he will be earning his Master’s in Computer Science in May 2020. He’s looking forward to developing quality software that will ultimately end up in the hands of a user. Ultimately, his goal as a developer is to better the world in ways grand or small.
Some of the interesting projects that Philip has worked on include an anonymous user based social media web application, and bike share distribution system based on CaptitalBike Share’s 2018 data to recommend optimal pick-up and drop-off locations to users. Away from the computer, Philip enjoys playing guitar, skateboarding, tennis, and ping-pong. He recently took a road trip to visit amazing landmarks like the Grand Canyon, and is looking to travel more in the future.
Eric will be working in the Moorestown, NJ office as a Financial Analyst Intern. He attends Wake Forest University as an Accounting major, and will be graduating in 2020.
Eric has participated in a local race (Bob just so happens to be the race director), the Scott Coffee Rotary Run. He’s a big fan of Philadelphia sports, and enjoys watching Game of Thrones.
