There are several ways to make use of the new RunSignUp Race Websites with your own URL, and we will be introducing more over time. If you do not have a URL, then you can use the Short URL capability in RunSignUp to set up a URL like “RunSignUp.com/MyRace”.
The Farragut Half Marathon (http://www.farragut131.com/) has used another method. They have a real website and the ability to put up a simple HTML page. NOTE: You should also get an SSL Certificate for your website so your user’s browsers know it is a safe site and has an https:// before the website. They put the RunSignUp site into their home page with a simple HTML capability of putting the RunSignUp Race Website into a frame. Here is the HTML:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN”
“http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd”>
<html>
<head>
<title>Farragut 13.1, 5K and Kids Mile </title>
<META name=”description” content=”Knoxville Track Club’s fall half marathon”><META name=”keywords” content=”race, half-marathon, awards, bling, KTC”>
</head>
<frameset rows=”100%,*” border=”0″>
<frame src=”http://runsignup.com/Race/TN/Knoxville/MarbleCity1315KKidsMile” frameborder=”0″ />
<frame frameborder=”0″ noresize />
</frameset>
<!– pageok –>
<!– 03 –>
<!– –>
</html>
