RunSignUp Accepting Applications for the 2017 Community Grant

Moorestown, NJ – RunSignup is now accepting applications for their 2017
Community Grant Program. The program, now in its second year, awards a $10,000 contribution to endurance-related nonprofit organizations. Organizations can be nominated for the RunSignUp Community Grant here through June 15, 2017. The grant supports charities that promote the endurance industry; for example, youth running programs, training funds for elite runners, or the collection of running attire for runners in developing countries. Requirements for applicants include:

  • Nominated organizations must be a designated a 501 (c)3 Nonprofit organization.
  • Nominated organizations must have an endurance-related central mission.
  • Nominations can be made by anyone – employees, volunteers, or general supporters. However, it must include a contact at the organization for follow-up on any questions the nominating individual cannot answer.
  • An organization can be nominated by more than one person; however, this does not increase the chances of an award for that organization.

The final award decision will be made by the RunSignUp Customer Advisory Board in mid-July, just prior to the 4th Annual RunSignUp Race Director/Timer Symposium.

The full contribution can be made to a single nonprofit or divided among several; in 2016, the awardees were Ainsley’s Angels ($1,000), Back on My Feet ($1,000), Students Run Philly Style ($2,000), Healthy Kids Running Series ($3,000), and Wings of America ($3,000).
