Moorestown, NJ – RunSignUp has released a second template option for the 15,000 race websites that are automatically built for all races listed on the site. RunSignUp provides events with a full website (not just a simple webpage) to increase brand visibility, create a hub for all race information, and ensure that all race directors can have a customizable, mobile-friendly race website – for free. Race directors can now choose between a legacy race template, and a new, more modern option.
The new template makes several updates to the design of race websites to boost brand presence, highlight calls to action, and make information easier to find and read. These include:
- Prominent placement of the race logo (not the RunSignUp logo) at the top left of the page
- Sticky SignUp and Donate buttons that remain visible on the page as you scroll down, ensuring that the call to action is always present
- Horizontal menu to maximize available space on the page
- Event tiles to clearly delineate the participation options for the event
- Mobile design with auto-scaling of banner images
- A footer with a convenient “contact race” link, the race logo, and the option to display sponsors
RunSignUp recognizes that race websites are the public face of an event; the new template is designed to keep the focus on the race and its established brand. Races have the opportunity to customize their colors and add their own banner image to match the branding of their event. New races or ones that do not have an image to use can select one from a set of default images
The new template is the first of several website updates RunSignUp has planned for 2018. Updates to come include additional template options, simpler formatting for setting up website content and menus, and supporting custom domains.
