UX Manifesto – Year One Report

One year ago, we made this pledge:

Our Commitment: RunSignUp will not only have the most feature rich race management platform, we will also have the leading user experience for participants, race directors, race management companies and timers by the end of 2017, and will continually improve the user experience into the future. Our goal is to create easy to use technology that makes a difference to our customer’s business and participant experiences, and make that pleasurable.

Over the past year, we have brought on three senior UX Developers (each does design, HTML, CSS and JavaScript) – Jeff, Meredith and Darren.  In that time, we have done a bunch of things behind the scenes – each of them took time to come up to speed on our development environment and process including code reviews, we have restructured a lot of behind the scenes things like how we structure our various dashboards and pages and CSS and icon files. Many of these infrastructure improvements will help us be more productive in the future (so we can bring you more and faster change).

But we are most proud of the changes we have made to our User Experience – and can’t wait for the next 12 months of improvements!
