We are working on some very exciting stuff for nonprofits that we hope to preview in May. When we do, I am sure some people are going to scratch their heads and say “But that is not a race feature”. The reality is that many of our customers are nonprofits and nearly all of our customers at least work with nonprofits.
This year, we will process about $100 Million of transactions for our 8,200 nonprofit customers. This represents less than 40% of our total customer base in terms of who we process payments directly for. However, many of the for profit companies that manage and own events also benefit nonprofits in many ways.
We did a survey on Race Directors Hub (which has turned into one of the best places for Race Directors to learn and exchange ideas) to get more insight into how many race directors are connected with nonprofits – the quick answer is almost everyone! Only 2% do not work with nonprofits.
This analysis encourages us in our upcoming efforts to help our nonprofit customers with our technology.
