This year’s Timer Day was bigger than ever before. For the first time ever, we awarded a timer with the Alan Jones Timer of the Year Award. The award was named after Alan Jones because of his contributions to the race industry through the creation of the Jones Counter, age-based grading, and RunScore. It aims to recognize a timer who has made a positive impact in the endurance industry. This year’s award was presented to Marc Roy of SportsStats. We wanted to share the moment that he was presented with the award, as well as his keynote speech from this year’s Symposium.
The entire presentation is included below, or you can visit our YouTube channel for a full collection of all of our 2019 Symposium videos.
Looking to learn some more? Most of our slides from Symposium are now up on our slideshare site, and videos from our presentations will be continuously rolling out on this YouTube playlist over the coming weeks.
