When a Mom registers herself and her son for a race (or a club), a Primary Account is automatically created for the Mom and a Secondary Account is created for the Son.
This creates a number of potential ways that Primary and Secondary Account holders can collaborate in RunSignUp:
1. Create a Primary Account from a Secondary Account
If the son wants to keep track of their running log on RunSignUp directly, or wants to sign up for a race themselves, then Mom needs to make the Secondary Account their own account. To do this, Mom logs into RunSignUp and from their Profile Page click on “Make Own Account” next to her son’s information. Enter a new email and password and the son is all set up! For more information, go to How To Access a Secondary Account.
2. Share Two Primary Accounts
Dad also has a separate RunSignUp account. The family wants to sign up for a Family Club Membership. To do this, Mom and Dad need to share their accounts with each other so one of them can register themselves and their spouse and son on a single Family membership. Mom or Dad simply need to go to their RunSignUp Profile Page, click “Account Sharing” and enter their spouse’s email address. See more on Sharing Accounts.
