Embracing Change and the Rise of Technology

A recent article talks about how Harvard is becoming the Stanford of the East. This relates to Stanford’s embrace of the rise of technology and the cultural acceptance of a high rate of change.

I think this relates very well to both RunSignUp and to the many races and timers in our community. The fact is that change is happening rapidly, and technology is driving it. We see races and timers who are adopting new technology like mobile registration, dynamic bib assignment for bib pickup in multiple running stores, or posting results in real time with txt notifications, or putting significant effort and money into their web and social presence.

RunSignUp is built on this as a principle.  We have a specific strategy of “Continuous Delivery” of new technology. It keeps us fresh and allows our customers to become the rising races and not the laggard races…
