RunSignup and ROAD iD Partner to Offer Race Participants Free ROAD iD Gift Cards

Moorestown, NJ and Convington, KY – RunSignup, the leading technology provider for US races and ROAD iD, the leading provider of wearable ID products are excited to introduce a new promotion for races on the RunSignup platform. The two companies share a mission of promoting an active lifestyle and are partnering to enhance the experience of race participants with a free gift card offer in the registration path.

RunSignup races that enable the ROAD iD partnership on their race dashboard will now be able to offer a free $10 ROAD iD gift card to all participants when they register for their race. Registrants that opt into the offer will be sent to ROAD iD when registration is completed. The deal benefits everyone – the participant receives $10 to use toward a safety product, and the race earns $.10 for every completed registration.

“We’re hyper-passionate about athlete safety and empowered adventure,” said Edward Wimmer, CEO of ROAD iD. “We’re also committed to supporting the event community. Our partnership with RunSignup is a unique opportunity to support more events AND impact more lives – a win-win-win in our book.”

Bob Bickel, Founder and CEO of RunSignup said, “By partnering with ROAD iD, we have created a simple way for races to offer their participants a safer training and racing experience. In addition, the ROAD iD partnership rewards races by adding value to their event while providing a financial incentive.”

The program will be publicly available mid September. Races using RunSignup can activate the option on the race dashboard to add the free gift card to the add-on section of the registration path.

Road ID will receive a report the day after the race happens. The report will include the total number of participants, the number of registrants that viewed the ROAD iD offer and the amount that opted in. In terms of participant data, ROAD iD will only receive the registrants’ email, first name and which race / event they registered for. It is important to note that the $.15 reward is calculated per registration cart that opts in to the offer, and not per individual participant.

Road ID will reach out to the race director directly regarding the payment, which will be sent to the race’s payment account.
