We do a quarterly update on how things are going with RunSignUp (2016, Q1/17, Q2/17, Q3/17, 2017, Q1/18, and Q2/18). The good news is that more races, timing companies, running stores and runners continue to recommend us. And we keep putting out great technology our customers seem to like!
We held our Annual RunSignUp Symposium in July, with a sell-out crowd of over 200 race directors, timers and event managers. You can relive some of the sessions here.
The big thing we are getting ready for is all the winter conferences, but most importantly the RaceDay Timer Certification sessions. We will be touring the country in January 2019 with our new RaceDay Timer Certification, a program designed to help timers grow their businesses by providing them with advanced RaceDay technology training (including RaceDay Scoring). Registration is open for Philadelphia, Dallas, San Francisco, and Orlando!
Our numbers were great for Q3 with 20% growth of races (on a very large number of races!), 36% growth in # of registrations and 37% growth in total transaction dollars. The growth is coming from more large races, as well as the mass migration from the RaceIt and Race Partner registration platforms.
Gross Profit is actually the most important since it is how we pay our people and Amazon costs and for the year we are up. Gross profit was up about 29% compared with Q3 of last year due to the above increases in races and registrations.
Race Director Resources
We have added a number of Race Director resources to our website:
- CRM Overview
- Case Study on Race Day Events
- Case Study on Championship Racing
- Race Registration Market Analysis
The best news is that we continue to make great progress in enhancing our product offering for our customers. We have a very broad platform for races, helping them with their entire race lifecycle. Some of the great work we are doing:
CRM – We have released a great “Cliff Notes” to Race CRM. We have also released a ton of features to help races find a target participants, donors and fundraisers.
MultiRace Bundles – This new capability makes it simple to offer participants multiple races all together for one price. We give a ton of flexibility to meet your bundle needs from price, combining registration information to make things fast for your participants like common questions.
Marketplace – We have released Marketplace, a new hub for race directors and timers to connect with dozens of vendors and services that we have partnered with. There are over 50 partnerships in this, including a new Race Event Cancellation Insurance from RaceInsure.
Shopify and ROADiD Integrations – We announced two new integrations to make life simple for race directors.
New Race Search – helping connect participants and races across the US.
On a side note, we sent 12.95 Million Emails on behalf of races just in the month of September from our free race email marketing system. Hopefully all of our Promotion, Marketing and CRM features are at least some of the reason for the strong growth in registrations on RunSignUp.
Thanks again to all of our customers who continue to support us with great ideas, feedback and support.
