Send Roy a Cheer through RaceJoy!

5 Marathons in 29 Hours

royrunning2

Roy Wiegand is running the equivalent of five marathons in 29 hours (a total of approximately 131 miles) all by himself and without stops starting in Burbank, California. He started his run this morning on June 3 at 7am Pacific Time. He is embarking on this quest to raise $15,000 for the Michael Heflin Foundation on behalf of Christopher Wilke, who passed away of cancer on March 20, 2014.

Roy is using RaceJoy so that people can track his progress live. As our runners know, 29 hours is a long time to be out on the road! So, send Roy a cheer by looking up Roy’s Run for Christopher in RaceJoy. You can also donate to the foundation by clicking on the Donate Now banner ad. Every little bit helps!

This is the third time Roy is embarking on this quest and this year is an especially challenging as his mom passed away unexpectedly two weeks ago. Let’s show him our support and encourage him during this difficult time and share our appreciation for this steadfast dedication to such an important cause.

Roy will be stopping at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the Children’s Hospital Orange County and makes a round trip back to the Burbank Tennis Center where there will be celebration with a carnival, food and games on June 4th.  All funds raised from this event go directly to support the Michael Hoefflin Foundation and our services.
